This weekend I'll be continuing my classes here in Texas at Central Market stores across the state, which I'm having a blast teaching at. I love working with their staff and strolling the aisles of this unbelievable, enormous food market.
Also, Williams-Sonoma stores (which I call Sonoma-Williams, for reasons I should explain here someday...) is featuring The Perfect Scoop in a specially-priced paperback edition—just in time for summer ice cream churning...
Here's the scoop for this upcoming weekend...

So David, any chance of you bringing your ice cream and chocolate stylings to us here in Boston? We on the East Coast need you!
I'm wondering the same thing about Little Rock, Arkansas. You're so close!
I purchased the Williams Sonoma edition of your book Monday. Now I am combing the town looking for matcha powder.
So David, when are you coming to Alaska? We eat ice cream here too you know.
David, your book is marvelous. I have probably made about 30 flavors already. I started out with 1-2 a week and have progressed to about one batch a day. Yesterday it was two. We've got it down to a science: I mix, the dog licks the dasher, my husband eats enough of it so that I can still fit my clothes. I have never seen him swoon over anything the way he did the rice gelato. Anyway, the other day he brought back some tiny plums from a tree behind our house (we back up to open space). We found the tree a few months ago and could not figure out what it was. Now we know. The plums are tiny, tart, almost cherry-like in appearance. Well lo and behold if you didn't talk about these same ones in your book. We are going to pick a bunch today for tonight's batch.
While you are right "next door" you could just pop on up here to Oklahoma City!!
David, I am still hoping that you'll change your mind and come to NEW YORK!!! before your tour is over.
I love your site. When are you coming to New York?
