…and just in case you want to know what happens if you leave a chocolate birthday cake you made in the sun by accident…
Sun and chocolate is really not a good team :(
yum! melted chocolate cake. looks good to me. i’d eat it in a second.
Just cut that piece off and eat it! Easy!
How do you make the design on the top of the cake?
Nice try, but I still think that a three week old macro lens doing a face plant in cake wins the Baking-Induced Heart Attack awards.
Super simple! Just use your tongue to smooth out the melty section and recreate the spatual pattern. Nobody will be the wiser.
Or just eat it.
When I was at school I used to leave my chocolate bars on the dashboard of my car until it was just melted, but still held together on the surface and only then carefully unwrap and indulge, often by dipping orange segments into it first. The wait for it to melt was a practice of extreme sports style patience but the payoff made it totally worth it! A melted birthday cake back then would have been heavenly!
Wow, you made a cake in the sun. Talk about the ultimate oven. No preheating and cakes bake in milliseconds. Cool!
Sun and chocolate…probably not the best idea, but I would still eat it : )
I made your roasted banana ice cream last night! It was amazing!! I am in love with The Perfect Scoop, so far all the scoops have been perfect
It still looks good enough to eat!
Okay, that can be my piece. :)
The top is beautiful! I hope it didn’t go to waste!
And I’ll never get that recipe again, oh no!
and yet … it still looks delicious!
Someone Left Their Cake Out in the Sun! (no, I don’t think you should send Burt Bacharach the melty piece. You should send it to me!) Next time in the U.S., come down to Los Angeles.
Actually, it looks all warm and yummy. You could serve it to me, I wouldn’t complain!
Just tell them it’s molten lava cake. ;)
It still looks amazing
Aw, that sucks! It does still look delicious though. I love the swirls on top.
Oh no. I did that two years ago. I baked a gooey chocolate cake left it in a tupperware cake keeper next to the stove and the sunlight came from the window across my galley kitchen to melt it, while we were at the movies. Kids still ate it, and it was yummy.
