This year I’ve been tapped to be the European host for Menu for Hope 6, an annual event to raise money for the UN World Food Programme’s Purchase for Progess campaign.

The auction will go live on December 14th, with participants from all over the globe, ending on December 25th. Prizes will included signed books by the authors, culinary tours and cooking classes, wine tastings, and lots of surprises!

You can read more about the event and the charity at Chez Pim.

If you live in Europe or the United Kingdom and if you are a food blogger, or have a food or travel-related business and would like to participate as a donor, we’d love to have you! Entries are due on December 10th.

Latecomers are welcome but must donate €50 to the auction…and host the auction next year ; )

More details will be announced about bidding on prizes on the first day of the auction, but to participate as a donor

1. You should have a prize with a value of at least €50/$50 to donate and be willing to pay for global shipping, if possible.

2. Be able to supply a 75×75 thumbnail and 200×200 px photo or logo.

3. Post about your prize during the auction period.

4. Make contact with the winner in January, when the results are announced, to make delivery arrangements.

If you offer a service, such as a wine-tasting or tour, you should specify in your post any dates of availability and expiration period.

I would like to participate here in Brazil, how and what I do for the project.
I publicitaria a publisher abril.com.br, the largest in Latin America, the chef and Food Platter Beatriz, among other activities, develop closed-door dinner at my house on a project that calls Bia Chez, Chez Vous and write a blog related to my work as a gastronomic http://www.manjarbeatriz.blogspot.com, and the passion I have for France still write a blog to spread the culture of this country here http://www.francesidades.blogspot.com
Anyway, I am your reader, and I would support some form of this project.
A big hug, and I thank you.

Hi Bia: I’m only in charge of the European and Uk bloggers. There was another blogger from Brazil who inquired in the comments over at Chez Pim. She responded that she had difficulty finding folks interested in Latin America in the past. But since there seems to be the interest, perhaps one of you can organize a group there to host.

That said, if you have something France-related, I’m happy to host it here. I will send you the details in a separate message.

You can go to her site and maybe contact the other commenter, or Pim, for details. If not, maybe join up with one of the North American blog hosts, which is closer than Europe.

    Hi David,
I am trying to pull together a Taste of Piedmont, Italy basket for MH6 and am wondering if I need a photo and list completely done by the 10th? I will see how I get on tomorrow in town. I hope that would be of interest to you for the auction. Marla
