Next week, I’ll be doing two events in San Francisco…

Booksigning at Omnivore Books

The event is from 2 to 3pm at Omnivore Books in San Francisco (3885B Cesar Chavez Street). Super-duper chocolate treats will be provided by the fine folks at Charles Chocolates of San Francisco.

There will be a short talk at the beginning followed by a booksigning. Due to the size of the shop, it might not be possible for all to be inside for the talk so apologies in advance. But am happy to meet you after the talk : )

You are welcome RSVP at the Facebook Event Page although it’s not necessary. If you can’t make it to the event and would like a personalized signed copy of My Paris Kitchen, you can order one through the Omnivore Books website and they’ll send it to you.

In Conversation with Yotam Ottolenghi

I’ll be in conversation with one of my favorite cooks, Yotam Ottolenghi, moderated by Jessica Battilana. We’ll be talking about a bunch of stuff. The event will take place at the Nourse Theater (275 Hayes Street) at 7:30pm.

After the event, we’ll be signing books, including copies of Yotam’s newest book, Nopi, featuring recipes from his acclaimed London restaurant. This is a ticketed event with City Arts and Lectures and tickets are available at the City Arts and Lectures website – here.

[Update: I was just informed that this event has sold-out.]

I’ll be at the Norse Theater on 10/28. So glad I bought my tickets months ago. Can’t wait!

just wanted to share how wonderful your mustard chicken is! My cooking skills might best be discribed as “marginally moderate” but this recipe was so well written that I followed right along. Now I’m going to peruse this wonderful book closely to see what else I can uncover. Did I mention the sauce was OMG good and that the mustard is not overpowering.

I came to David through “the prefect scoop” and have been making ice cream regularly for the last four years. I am thinking about Gelato classes in Bologna Italy. Does anyone have reviews on the Gelato University there, which is connected with Carpigiani?
    Appreciated,

David, please come to Chicago for a book signing!

Of COURSE the chat on the 24th starts thirty minutes after my plane lands and the other one is booked (what rotten luck!). Oh well – at least I can read through your archives for some must-visits on my first SF visit as an adult!

I know that you have a soft sport for the west coast, but it would be nice for some international contact, say, in TORONTO. Maybe a quick word in your publisher’s ear about that.

Just saw you and Y.O. You were both terrific, and I was motivated to sign up for your blog. RECIPE SHOUTOUT–peanut butter cookies in Room for Dessert. I add mini bitter- or semisweet chocolate chips–even better.
