Ok, you don't have to answer that last one. But if you do, I'm going to be a featured participant at Food Blogger Camp, taking place January 9-16th, 2010.
While camp is in session, each day there will be a seminar by my favorite food bloggers, food stylist, and photographers.
Participants include Diane Cu and Todd Porter, Michael and Donna Ruhlman, Matt Armendariz and Adam Pearson, Dianne Jacob, Jaden Hair, and Elise Bauer.
Seminars will include everything from how to style and snap the perfect food shot, what to do when the book agent comes a knockin' on your door, and plenty of tips to dial up your blog and get the love and respect that you and your blog so richly deserve.
As for extracurricular activities, there will be a walking tour of the colorful Zijuatanejo market, we'll taste tacos and tequilas, visit a fisherman's market, and meet with local farmers and talk about their sustainable agricultural practices.

Mmmmm . . . Ixtapa. There used to be this great place in Zihua near the square that had housemade tortillas every night. I ate dozens of them! I would love to go and eat them again!! I looked at it and saw how delightful the program looked - and what a good discount had been negotiated. This looks like a terrific conference, a great lineup of writers in a wonderful location at the perfect time of year (when everyone needs a little sunshine). As a regional food blogger, covering restaurants in my little town, and hoping to expand and grow as the restaurants here get better and better (as the vineyards grow, so comes the cuisine), I'd love to win and learn. I think the only way I'll ever be able to take a vacation without being fired is if I win one. It's also really been one of those years, if you know what I mean. If it weren't for my stellar sense of humor I don't know where I'd be (well, mentally speaking). So you should definitely pick me. More importantly, I am the biggest fan of this blog and am probably one of the few readers to actually have attempted your recipe for Green Walnut Liqueor. Or at least I have a drawer full of green walnuts that I've been hoarding over the weekend and fully intend to crack open just as soon as I replace, i mean BUY, the required liter of vodka.
