In this month’s Hemispheres, the magazine of United Airlines, I was their guest author for their popular series, Three Perfect Days, where I share some of my favorite tips for three perfect days of travel, sightseeing, and…of course, eating.

If you’re flying on United Airlines this month, be sure to pick up a copy.
The article is also online at the Hemispheres web site, and will be archived there as well.

If I am flying United airlines I will be sure to check their magazine, it is pretty exciting to see your words in print. I just had an article on silver published in the magazine “Rock and Gem”.

Oh I love 3 Perfect Days. Back in my 100K club United days I would rip them out of the magazines and save them for future reference. Damn, I’m not flying again until October so will miss your issue :-(
Will check it out online. Thanks David!

David, I noticed you mentioned Androuët in your suggestions for day 3. In Clotilde’s MSN article “My Paris is Better Than Yours,” she mentioned it too, it being located on Rue Saint Roch on the 1er. I stayed on Rue Saint Honore by Michel Cluizel’s shop in July and went up and down that short street so many dozens of times but could not, for the life of me, find Androuët Sur Le Puce! Did they move?

Anne: Androuët has several shops around Paris. Check their website for more information. Their site doesn’t list a shop in the 1st.

They did recently close their branch at the Marche d’Aligre, and sometimes these articles are written months in advance, and sent to press, and things change in the meantime, so it’s always a good idea to check close to your next visit. Luckily there’s no shortage of good cheese shops in Paris…or good chocolate shops either, as you found out!

Thank you, David. That’s interesting, considering Clotilde’s article came out June 2005 and barely a year later, the Androuët in Rue Saint Roch is gone.
Thank you for the website address, though. I’ve also bookmarked the Hemispheres article.

David, what’s the deal with your apartment the first week? Mine always looks like that.

    ACK!

C and I were on our way back from vacation last night, and my heart skipped a beat when I saw the byline on 3PD!

I flung it at C and said, “Look who wrote it, just look!”.

Loved reading it, loved the honesty.
