Win a Cuisinart ICE-100 Ice Cream Machine!

When I found out that Cuisinart had released a brand-new model of their ice cream machine, I asked if they would let me give two away on my site. And I was happy when they agreed!

I’ve been using my ICE-50 for a number of years, which is self-refrigerating, so I can make ice cream and sorbet whenever I want and not have to pre-freeze the canister. It’s the machine I relied heavily on when churning up with the recipes in The Perfect Scoop.

The next generation of this machine, the ICE-100 ice cream freezer will churn up 1 1/2 quarts of ice cream or sorbet with the use of an internal compressor. And now that summer is almost here, it’s the perfect time to add an ice cream freezer to your kitchen.

To enter, leave a comment with the name of your favorite flavor of ice cream, sorbet, or sherbet. Only one entry per person is allowed and please leave a valid e-mail address so you can be contacted if you win.

    Brown Bread from Scoops in Los Angeles ( the oringinal hole in the wall across from the bike store on heliotrope). His flavors are amazing, sometimes unusual or even a big strange like Salty Oreo,Thai ice tea, chocolate black beer. You never know when you go in what flavors he came up with that day. I always sample a few just for curiosity until I decide on my sccops. If am lucky enough that he made it that day i get a scoop brown bread ice cream. Never too sweet and never leaves that cream film in your mouth. Just fresh with flavor explosions. But I save my last taste of flavor for my beloved brown bread. And grape nuts- who knew they belonged in my ice cream becuase i always knew they didn’t belong in my cereal bowl as a kid.

    Atomic Ice Cream’s Road Rash – a car accident meets an ice cream. Road grit from oreo cookie chunks, blood swirl of raspberry agave syrup, n topped with bits of broken glass which are rock sugar.

    My favorite flavor is 1020 from Marianne’s in Santa Cruz, California. The flavor is caramel ice cream base with swirls of chocolate sandwich cookie crumbs and fudge. It is delicious.

    Best ice cream I’ve ever tasted – “Triple Chocolate” in Padua, Italy. Close second Cassis – Amorino, Saint-Louis en I’lle. Mario’s Gelati in Vancouver makes a pretty tantalizing lemon sorbet. As soon as I’ve finished typing this I’m going looking for Atomic Ice Cream’s “Road Rash”. Sounds amazing. Thanks David for your terrific blog.     Home made chocolate cherry ice cream: vanilla base with fresh chopped and pitted Bings from Gilroy and dark chocolate drizzled in during the churn so it shatters into nice chunks. Awesome!

    My favorite ice cream flavor is Maple- I’m Californian, but half of my family lives in Maine. Maple ice cream reminds me of summers spent at camp with my family, and nothing is better than my Grandpa hand-cranking ice cream.
