perfectscoopThis Sunday, I’ll be doing a book signing with my friends at The House That Jack Built as part of their Valentine Jumble Sale. The event will take place at Le Mary Celeste (1, rue Commines, 3rd, Métro: Filles du Calvaire or République). There will be copies of The Perfect Scoop sale priced in hardcover and paperback, in addition to a limited amount of copies of The Sweet Life in Paris and Ready for Dessert.

I’ll be there from Noon to 3pm (the sale continues until 5pm) and you’re welcome to bring copies of previously owned books you’ve purchased elsewhere. There will be vintage items, cocktail punch, and Alison’s sweet-salty treats. So if you’re around this Sunday – stop by and say hi!

    David,
You don’t know me, I’m an old restaurat guy from Virginia , who has spent a lot of time wondering around France, the articles that you post on Facebook are just perfect , I enjoy and share most of them.
Sure wish I could be there for your book signing, but I won’t make it back to Paris until May. While I’m there, I’ll find my way to this book store and pick up your book.
I don’t know if you know my old friend Tim Jihnston who has Juveniles Cave and Wine Bar, but that’s where I’ll spend a lot of my time. Tim has just brought in a new chef, can’t wait to try his food, the wines at a Juveniles have always been top notch., if you don’t know Tim, stop by and see him, tell him that I sent you. Rue de Richielue, 1st. Thanks for what you do!

You should do one in Lyon sometime too :)

I will have missed your book signing by 2 weeks – what a shame! I am eagerly awaiting the delivery of My Paris Kitchen (I’ve pre-purchased it), and hope to make it to a future book signing event!

Drat! I don’t arrive in Paris until Feb. 18th. Sorry to miss it, and thank you for your books and this site- all are really lovely. :)

Oh David! I love that book! I’m not sure if the Toasted Coconut ice cream or the Malt Ball recipe is my favorite. Hmmm. I’ll have a scoop of each!

Just wanted to say my mother and I were very pleased we could manage to come by to say hello.
I definitely used your blog for some of our trip planning – we went on a cheese/wine extravaganza by Paris By Mouth, we went to L’Eclair de Genie, we went to the Bastille market on a Sunday, etc.
    Thanks again!
