Trop Mignon!

I don’t know about you, but I’m a bit ga-ga over anything miniature.

And when it’s miniature Paris pastries?
I can barely resist…

These are super-tiny replicas of some of the desserts and pastries from Pierre Hermé. I love the little details…they are just too cute—trop mignons!

You can order them here, and there’s even a contest to win a set as well.

(Thanks to Carol over at Paris Breakfasts for tracking these down halfway around the world.)

  • You just miss your EasyBake oven and those mini-cakes, which we all know is how you got started…

    ;-)

  • trognon meme!

  • Since I’m re-doing my dollhouse this year, this is a great source! Thank you David! (I am serious about this, btw.)

  • Lucy: Just tell Loïc not to blame me when there’s some funny charges from Hong Kong on your credit card!

  • I got my complete set after Carol ordered hers. Really tiny :)

  • So fun! Where’s the English version of the contest? It’s all Greek, er, French to me! :-)

  • Aren’t these little pastries sometimes called, in fact, mignardises?

  • Betty C: I think these might be even too tiny to be called mignardises! As Kat and I mentioned, they’re pretty itty-bitty!

Marni: Try Free Translation, which will convert any text for you from various languages (although I don’t know about Japanese.)

  • I love all things miniature too! I applied for the contest even though I highly doubt they’ll ship one out to Chicago. I think all people like mini versions of things…that’s why babies are so cute! :)

  • I read thie post just after watching the latest “Iron Chef America- Battle Rabbit”. One of the chefs actually made little tiny racks of rabbit ribs- they were so cute (and a very clever treatment, I thought).

  • Oh Thanks David for the PB link!
I put my name in the contest too just for sheer silliness.
I think the link for http://www.angolz.com has an error
There should not be an s after the http:// etc
That may be from my ordering the minis…
Anyway it took all of a week to get them but the US Postal service fell in love and did not want to let me have the PH minis!
It was an arm wrestle to get them away.

  • I got a set off ebay just before Christmas and have been happily pretending I’m shopping at the PH boutique ever since! The one drawback is that my cats seem to like the macarons as much as I do.

  • Chelsea: Great tip on Ebay!

I did a search over there and found a whole bunch of them over there too. Merci…

  • David you can get all the mini Pierre Herme Desserts you want next trip to CA at http://www.nrfbqueen.com
She will let you choose particular boxes too if you don’t want the whole set and I believe she ships to France.
BTW there are other tiny ice cream sets that are to die for so look in her inventory.
    Join in the fun!
