Ok, you don’t have to answer that last one. But if you do, I’m going to be a featured participant at Food Blogger Camp, taking place January 9-16th, 2010.
While camp is in session, each day there will be a seminar by my favorite food bloggers, food stylist, and photographers.
Participants include Diane Cu and Todd Porter, Michael and Donna Ruhlman, Matt Armendariz and Adam Pearson, Dianne Jacob, Jaden Hair, and Elise Bauer.
Seminars will include everything from how to style and snap the perfect food shot, what to do when the book agent comes a knockin’ on your door, and plenty of tips to dial up your blog and get the love and respect that you and your blog so richly deserve.
As for extracurricular activities, there will be a walking tour of the colorful Zijuatanejo market, we’ll taste tacos and tequilas, visit a fisherman’s market, and meet with local farmers and talk about their sustainable agricultural practices.

2. Use Login: blogger, Password: 160606, to get the special Food Blogging Camp discount price of $599 to $999 US based on double-occupancy for this all-inclusive trip.
3. There will be a drop-down menu so choose ‘Ixtapa‘, and type in the dates: January 9-16, and 7 days for length of stay. You can come for fewer days, or all of them. (3-day packages are $599.)
The booking page will open showing the discounted price just underneath the regular price. Please note that that price shown will likely be for a single-booking option: the $999 price is based on double-occupancy. There should be a special price shown, which notes that it’s the ‘Food Blogger Camp’ price.

By the way, you might rethink the “slightly” since single-occupancy comes to $1438…about 50% higher than double-occupancy. (“A slightly-higher price may be shown if you’re basing your search on single-occupancy. The $999 US 7-day price is based on double-occupancy.”)

When I checked, the single-occupancy price was lower than the price that you mentioned. So you should call the Club Med phone number and get confirmation, which I mentioned several times; at the end of the post, and under the booking information. Yes, the contest is open to anyone, but for folks who live outside the continental US, the winner will have to fly themself to the US and Club Med will take care for their airfare from there. -dl
