Join me this Sunday, December 2nd at La Cuisine cooking school in Paris for a get-together and book signing. The event will be held from 3pm to 5pm and is open to all!

It’s a chance to get some holiday shopping done (signed books!) and to sample various treats provided by French producers.

The folks at La Cigogne will be offering tastes of products they source directly from French producers, from their épicerie and tasting room in Paris.

Comté cheese will be providing tastes of aged Comté cheese, one of the most popular cheeses in France…and the world!

Champagne is provided by AR Lenoble, a 100% family-owned vineyard and champagne maker.

Copies of L’Appart, My Paris Kitchen, and The Perfect Scoop will be available for signing. It’s a great time to do some holiday gift-shopping!

The event will take place at La Cuisine cooking school, located at 80, Quai de l’Hôtel de Ville (Métro: Pont Marie or Hôtel de Ville) Although not required, if you’re planning on coming and would like to RSVP on the Facebook Event Page, you’re welcome to, so they know how many guests to expect.

See you there!

I bought L’Appart as soon as it came out. I couldn’t put it down. I admire your restraint in not throttling your contractor!

I was laughing hysterically when reading L’Appart in a doctor’s office waiting room. I can’t wait to read your next one – Wait, did I really say read – I want to cook some of the recipes, too.
Is there any way to find out your next New York visit ahead of time?

    Hi David!
I live in Canada and will be in Paris on Dec 2nd (my birthday!). Would love to get a copy of your books and your autograph. Are books available to purchase at the signing event?

    Cheers,

    David,
I have read The Sweet Life in Paris, L’Appart, and My Paris Kitchen – love them. And of course I am an avid reader of your blog. We just spent 12 days in France and followed many of your suggestions – we ate at La Cave de Belleville, Maison Castro, Briezh Cafe and Jacques Genin. Loved them all! We let each proprietor know we learned of them through you. :)

Thanks for doing what you do. My life is enriched by your writing. A bientot!

Shou: Yes, copies of L’Appart, The Perfect Scoop, and My Paris Kitchen will be available at the event! (And happy birthday!)

Jill: Glad you liked the books so much, and had such a good time in Paris. Thanks for saying hi to everyone ~

Anne: Happy to hear you were laughing at the doctor’s office – always a good sign! I list events on my Schedule page as well as on my Facebook page and newsletter. Facebook doesn’t always show followers everything, but you can subscribe to my newsletter using the form in the right sidebar. (I don’t share that address with anyone; I just use it for mailing newsletter so you won’t get spammed.)

Doreen: I like to think we all learned from the experience ;)

Two Brits may join you if lunch doesn’t take too long! I’ll bring ‘The Sweet life’ which we are thoroughly enjoying. We love Paris in winter so spend this coming week there most years. It will be a treat to meet you….

Having built a house around a kitchen, and having had a good share of differences with the builder, I got the space I always wanted. Your experience was a little over the top, but this is always a stressful endeavor. I love your comments on all things Parisien and we come in about twice a year. Maybe some day, I can meet you. I live in Chicago. Any plans to come here?

David, I have all your books and use them regularly; ditto your enticing and imaginative blog. Ready for Dessert is my dessert bible; I’ve never made anything from your books that didn’t turn out really well; many of your desserts are staples in my repertoire. I’ve also given the book to friends and children as much appreciated gifts. Too bad I’m not likely to meet you in person as I live in Canada’s capital – a bit far from your usual haunts. Keep up the great work!

Yes! I vote for a visit to Chicago too. My son and I would love to meet you. He’s 13 but knows to look up your recipes when baking or making ice cream. Just made vanilla to go with pie for Thanksgiving.

    Oh, how I wish!
I still remember a vide grenier in Paris where I bought an old hachoir. I had lusted after one, but always around the $250 mark! When I saw this one I assumed it would be out of my range, but went back the following day for some jars, that I later saw on your site, found the courage to ask the price…..€15!! I treasure it.
