Who knew that one of my most FAQs would be “Where can I find fresh tortillas in Paris?”

Yes, there’s no shortage of bread in Paris, with over 1200 bakeries in the city baking it fresh daily, but with a burgeoning interest in Mexican food, and a number of residents from the Americans (and elsewhere) who enjoy and crave tortillas, there are several places where you can find them fresh.

Here are some sources and shops (épiceries) in Paris that sell fresh tortillas:

At the end of this post are two lists of Mexican restaurants in Paris and some of them also sell Mexican products.

A Few Notes

Want freshly-made taco dinners delivered to your door? You can order taco meals delivered from Robert Mendoza (above) and Carlos at ParisMexico (below). Order links are on their Instagram pages. Both are highly-recommended.

Online, Casamex and Mi Tiendita sell tortillas but also carry masa harina (as do some of the places above) if you want to make your own tortillas.

Places that sell tortillas online in France are Mitiendita (which a reader recommended in the comments), Casamex, Ahuehuete, Los Juanitos, and Cuisine-Mexicaine.

Another reader tipped me off to Taiyari, who makes fresh tortillas in the Netherlands using heirloom corn. Unfortunately, it looks like they only ship to the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany, but if you take a trip to one of those places, it might be worth ordering some and bringing them home with you. Cool Chile in London delivers to France, and Tlaxcalli makes tacos with organic corn in Germany.

Many Mexican restaurants in Paris devote some space to selling Mexican products as well such as BocaMexa. There’s a list of Mexican restaurants in Paris here on the blog, and Secrets of Paris did a round-up on her blog at Mexico in Paris.

I make my own. All you need is a tortilla press, masa harina, water and a little salt. But then I live in rural France, not Paris!

    Dear David,
Thank you so much – the “unfortunately, Tayari only ships to the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany” was indeed very fortunate for me, as I live within that radius and am having a hard time sourcing really good tacos and voilà, just placed my order and am excited!

Lucky you! They look really good and next time someone I know goes to the Netherlands (or Germany or Belgium) I’m going to ask them to bring me a package.

They arrived yesterday and whoever recommend them deserves a medal – they are really that good!
        So thanks again

There is mitiendita.fr . She is Mexican and sells online too. Her corn tortillas are great. She sold to some restaurants in Paris

Thanks! They look good. I was focusing on fresh tortillas in Paris but added them, and a few other mail-order sources to the post. Appreciate the tip…

I need to take the next train from Lyon to Paris for these! I really miss true Mexican food and I can’t eat anymore Old El Paso products(please don’t sue me). I will be the girl with the large grey suitcase smuggling these onto the train.

    Muchas Gracias!
